DESCRIPTION:It’s SUMMER and we are going to enjoy some time outside with a Fierce Ladies Collective KAYAKING excursion at Scenic River Canoe Excursions!\n\nWe will be completing the Remington’s Run (8.5 Mile Kayak Adventure Trip)\, on Sunday\, July 13th beginning at 10:00am. (ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 9:40AM) You can expect the duration to be about 3 – 5 hours of paddling time (depending on river levels)\, however\, there will be places to stop along the way if we wanted to get out and take pictures\, have a snack\, stop at Little Miami Brewing Company\, and more! (Check out this video to learn more!)\n \nBOOK YOUR TICKET HERE: https://scenicrivercanoe.com/canoe-kayak-tube-rentals/ (Select “Book Online Now” –> Remington’s 8.5 Mile Trip –> July 13th\, 10:00am) \nFAQs:\nDo the trips end where we parked? Or\, do they pick us up at the end of the trip and bus us back to our car?: All trips end where you parked (4595 Round Bottom Road\, Cincinnati\, OH 45244). From here\, you will check in\, pick out your lifejacket\, and hop on a bus and they will drive you to the put-in spot up river. You will then enjoy a beautiful leisurely float back to where you parked.\n\nAre there rapids?: Yes\, and they are a ton of fun! The Little Miami is a class one river and generally beginner friendly.\n\nWhat should I bring?: They recommend wearing old gym shoes or water shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or ruined. Flip flops do not hold up well on the river. Bring sunblock\, plenty of water\, snacks/food\, garbage bags (they have plenty of reusable ones available for free in case you forget)\, hat and sunglasses. If you are going to take your phone or any valuables with you\, please be sure to bring an appropriate dry box or bag to keep them safe and secure. They have a variety of waterproof boxes and bags available for sale at the check-in.\n\nAre coolers permitted?: Yes\, but they must be small enough to fit on the kayak. Styrofoam coolers are not permitted as they are a hazard to the environment. DESCRIPTION:Join for the April Hike at Spring Grove Cemetary! This is a hike with CINCINNATI HIKES! This is NOT a private FLC event! \nCome join for a fully paved\, moderate-paced 5.1 mile hike around Spring Grove Cemetery followed by social hour at Urban Artifact. We will be walking the perimeter of the cemetery (AllTrails loop)\, which can easily be modified to decrease the distance (and get to the brewery faster!) Fast and slow walkers welcome – depending on attendance numbers\, we will likely form two groups based on speed at the start of the hike. Our after-hike social will be a 3 min drive away at Urban Artifact\, a brewery operating out of the beautiful St. Patrick’s Church known for its architecture and fruit tart beers (also serving cocktails\, a variety of beers\, and Deeper Roots coffee).
